How Do You Handle Pressure?

How do you handle pressure

In the world of sports, what sets the champions apart is their composure. Their ability to make decisions and execute under pressure. When you think about it, the same is true in the world of business as well. Business owners and executives are constantly making multiple decisions and lead their teams to execute through a lot of pressure too. And just like in sports, to become champions, one needs composure.

Where does composure come from? In his talk on Leadership, John Eales, the former world cup winning Australian rugby captain and currently a successful entrepreneur, said that it comes from having 3 levels of Faith:

1. Faith in yourself

2. Faith in others

3. Faith in your systems

Having faith allows you to focus on your desired outcome and flawless execution of the basics. Just remember, “all endeavors, look like a failure somewhere in the middle”.

So where do you stand in the three levels of faith? Which one will you need to focus on to improve first?

Enjoy the application of this concept in your life and your business!
